TESLA Delivery Day: What to Look for During Pickup Before Accepting the Vehicle!

If you're expecting a Tesla delivery, here are some important things to look for on your delivery day:

First you want to make sure that your paperwork matches the proper VIN on the vehicle. This way you know that the vehicle you're picking up matches your paperwork. Once you're ready to inspect it's important to document any findings and this is commonly done using a phone to take pictures and videos so have it ready!

  1. Check the exterior of the car: Look for any scratches, dents or other imperfections on the car's body. You'll want to document any issues you find before accepting the car. You can do this by taking pictures or videos. A common occurrence is the door seals coming apart. Make sure when opening the doors to check all the seals and to look for any obscure markings or condensation that could be caused because of the opening and closing of the doors or loose door seals.

  2. Inspect the interior of the car: Check the seats, dashboard, and other areas for any signs of damage. Make sure everything is in good condition, and that all the features you ordered are present. Pressing all buttons on doors, and panels of the interior of the car is important to make sure everything is working properly. Bring charging cords to test all charging ports in the vehicle.

  3. Test drive the car: Take the car for a spin around the block to ensure that it drives smoothly and that all the features are working as expected.

  4. Check the charging cable and adapters: Make sure you have received the correct charging cable and adapters for your specific car model.

  5. Check the paperwork: Make sure you have all the necessary paperwork, such as the registration, insurance, and warranty information.

  6. Ask questions: If you have any questions about the car, the delivery process, or anything else, be sure to ask the delivery specialist. They are there to help you and answer any questions you may have.

  7. Make sure you have everything you need before leaving the delivery center: This includes any accessories, charging cables, and other items that come with the car. In the Glove compartment should be a USB flash drive for dashcam recording and sentry mode.

Overall, it's important to take your time and carefully inspect everything before accepting the car. If you notice any issues, be sure to document them and discuss them with the delivery specialist.
